Dress: Forever 21 [slip: Vanity Fair] | Coat: Impressions Boutique [sold out] Similar | Shoes: Betsey Johnson
Happy New Year, Y’all! I know it’s like the 3rd week of January and I took these pictures weeks ago but I have been crazy busy and haven’t been able to get my post up! Dance has started back so I’ve been busy with that and I’ve had a sinus infection so I’m a little behind. But I’m back today to share one of my favorite looks! I wore this for my birthday, which is also on NYE. I love any excuse to wear sequins and just because the holidays are over doesn’t mean we can’t dress up a little extra! I think the mesh with smaller sequin appliqués are subtle enough to pull this off year round. This coat is so cozy and soft and who doesn’t love faux fur? These shoes are from a friend’s wedding and I’m always looking for an excuse to wear them again. They are beautiful and I love the pop of blue on the sole.
Do you all have any New Years Resolutions? I normally don’t but I wanted to try it this year. Mine are:
- Putting the Word before the world. Instead of diving right into social media first thing when I wake up I want to spend my time in the word. I use the First 5 app to help me with this. I highly recommend it if you’re looking for a new devotional.
- Work more on my blog. I know this is just a hobby but I’ve wanted to do this for so long so I want to really give it my all. I also want to learn to write better. I hated writing in school so I’m not the best with words, but I want to work on it!
- Take better care of myself mentally and physically. Anyone who knows me knows I’m quite the worry wart and this past year it really took a toll on me. I’m trying to worry less and trust God more to take care of everything. Also, I want to eat better. I have no self control when it comes to candy so I need to work on that.
I’m sure there are more things I could work on but these are my main ones for now. Hopefully I can stick to them! lol I hope you all continue to have a wonderful week and thanks for stopping by!
Dress: Red Dress Boutique [sold out, similar from RDB here and here, same dress different retailer here] | Heels: Betsey Johnson [old, Similar]
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas. I hope today is filled with laughter and love from family and friends and let’s not forget the true reason for the season: the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
“For unto us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, on the throne of David and over his kingdom to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this. ” Isaiah 9:6-7
Coat: Macy’s [red is sold out] | Dress: old, Similar | Heels: DSW | Lips: Clinique [shade: matte crimson]
I can’t believe it’s almost Christmas! It’s my favorite time of year and I so wish it lasted more than just a month. I love all the lights, decorations and of course all the pops of red everywhere. I seen this coat months ago and it just screamed Christmas so I knew I had to have it. As if the bell sleeves weren’t enough, the rhinestone buttons add a dressier touch making it perfect for the holidays. Unfortunately this coat is sold out in red but the white and black and still available in limited sizes. It’s also on sale for under $100! I paired it with a black lace dress and pumps to keep it simple underneath.
Have you all finished your shopping yet? I got a late start so I’ve been ordering things like crazy on Amazon. Thank goodness for prime! I hope you all are enjoying the Christmas season!
Sweater: Local Boutique, Similar | Denim: Macy’s | Booties: Mia, also here [few dollars cheaper] | Earrings: Charming Charlie | Sunglasses: Tahari | Lips: Buxom [shade: barcelona]
Happy Thursday y’all! I am loving all things embroidered lately and these booties are perfect! They are extremely comfortable because of the block heel and look so nice on. And good news, they’re on sale! I listed two links above one site has them for $50 and the other for $33! But hurry I don’t know how long they’ll be on sale. I paired it with my favorite black skinny jeans (SO comfy) and this mustard yellow sweater. It’s no surprise I’m still loving all things bell sleeved. It just makes everything more flattering. I think this look would be perfect for Thanksgiving!
With the holiday season officially upon us I know everyone is going to be shopping like crazy. I’m hoping to create some fun content for you guys such as gift guides, holiday outfits, etc. So be sure to keep checking back. As always, have a great day and thanks for stopping by!
Turtleneck: TJ Maxx | Skirt: LC Lauren Conrad [old], Similar | Boots: DSW | Hat: Forever 21 | Sunglasses: Amazon
Happy Monday! Cold weather has official arrived so it’s time to bring out the turtlenecks and boots. This turtleneck is a great layering piece and looks good by itself. I got this skirt last year and was so undecided about it I never wore it until now. I never could find the right shoes to go with it and then I finally realized black would be my best bet and I like the outcome. These boots are another great brand if you’re on the hunt for OTK boots. They look so good on and stay up on your leg! I highly recommend them.
I know it may be Halloween but I’ve been watching Hallmark Christmas movies all weekend. Any one else love them? They’ve got me wanting to put my tree up right now! lol I probably will within the next few weeks so I can actually enjoy it. I hope you all have a great week and thanks for stopping by!
